Tree Planting & Monsquito Creek Walk

  • Boothfield Street (between Grand Tully Way & Wild Carrot Crescent - near St. Francis Xavier HS) (map)

TIME: 9:30 am to 12 pm

We have approximately 300 trees to plant. We are looking for 20- 30 volunteers.

The RVCA will provide the trees, shovels, tree mats, training. Volunteers would

need to bring work gloves and wear the appropriate footwear.

We will also be doing a CREEK WALK afterward and participants 14 years old
and up would be welcome to join us. The walk will focus on the section of creek
from Spratt going west behind Owls Cabin and Mud Creek streets. We’ll be
surveying the creek for stream health and identifying any areas that may need
help. Hip waders will be available for those who provide their shoe size in
advance.

Please contact J.D. Whall, Coordinator, Mosquito Creek Project

( mosquitocreek@riversidesouth.org ) or Bruce Lindsay, RSCA President
