Bridge building to begin next month

 Work on the Strandherd-Armstrong Bridge across the Rideau River is set to begin in June, Nepean-Carleton MP Pierre Poilievre said Saturday.
Poilievre, who hosted a public information session in Manotick Saturday, said construction of the eight-lane bridge should begin in June after the city awards a construction contract. "It's going to be a magnificent project," Poilievre said. "It will connect Barrhaven and Riverside South and will take a lot of traffic out of Manotick."
