The types of buildings and traffic impacts were the main concerns expressed by many residents during a recent meeting for a proposed new subdivision in Riverside South between River Rd. and Spratt Rd. The new subdivision proposal includes 141 single lots, 180 street town units, two apartment-style blocks (mixed-use residential), a school area, public park and commercial section. Following concern from some in attendance at the meeting about the notion of including apartments in the area, Jim Burghout, development manager for Claridge Homes, noted that the mixed-use buildings would not be the traditional idea of apartments.
