Wednesday, 18 November 2009

City of OttawaCouncillor Steve Desroches is pleased to report that the 2010 Draft Budget contains $8 million in funding for widening Limebank Road from two to four lanes from Spratt Road to Earl Armstrong Road. If approved by Council, construction would begin in the Spring of 2010.  To date, the City has invested over $40 million on the Limebank Road Improvement Project.

Residents are encouraged to participate in the 2010 budget consultation and can visit www.ottawa.ca for complete details.

“Limebank Road has been a priority for me since I took office, and this new project is important to the current and future growth in Riverside South,” said Desroches.

Work is also underway on the $35 million project to widen Earl Armstrong Road from River Road to Limebank Road, as well as the first permanent Park and Ride in Riverside South.

“I am very pleased with the progress on the ground and the various infrastructure investments in Riverside South,” added Desroches.

Residents are encouraged to participate in the 2010 budget consultation and can visit http://www.ottawa.ca/city_hall/budget/budget_2010/index_en.html for complete details.
