Fun Passes cost $5 per child for RSCA members, and members can purchase them on behalf of relatives and friends’ children accompanying them to the event. The cost to non-members is $10 per child aged 2 years and older. Any questions regarding Fun Passes, please email social@riversidesouth.org. Fun Passes can be purchased in advance - Don’t want to line for tickets on the day? Then get your Fun pass bracelets in advance between 8 and noon on Saturday, June 23rd at Moncion’s Independent Grocer. RSCA Memberships can also be renewed or purchased at this time.
Entertainment this year will be provided by local petting zoo, The Barnyard Zoo, who will entertain everyone with 2 pens for large and small animals, complete with information on the animals to educate and thrill all! In addition, there will be numerous rides and games by Tribeck Inflatables for all to enjoy! We also hope the Fire truck won’t be busy and will pay us a visit at some point during the day. BBQ: What would Canada Day be without a BBQ! Food donated courtesy of Moncion’s Independent Grocer and operated by volunteers. The BBQ will be operational from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Food prices are listed below: - Hamburger or Veggie Burger = 2 tickets ($2.00)
- Hot Dog = 1 ticket ($1.00)
- Pop or Water = 1 ticket ($1.00)
- 2 juice boxes = 1 ticket ($1.00)
Food tickets can be purchased at the RSCA membership tent. We will also celebrate both Canada Day and the Riverside South Community Association’s 14th anniversary with a cake. Cake cutting will start at approx. 1:00pm, with local politicians Pierre Poilievre, Lisa McLeod, and Steve Desroches on hand for the festivities. There will also be balloons and free cotton candy courtesy of The Gathering, so be sure to come out and satisfy your sweet tooth! RSCA MEMBERSHIP: It's a perfect time to renew your RSCA Membership! There will be an RSCA membership tent with membership forms available for community residents to complete. Fill out a form and renew your membership for 2013! Not sure if you're an RSCA Member? Click here and you can enter your e-mail address or user-id and if you are a valid member it will e-mail you your password. You can also renew your membership online. PARKING: The parking lot next to the splash pad is restricted (handicap and special parking), but people can use the main Claudette Cain Park lot or nearby parking lots. Let’s hope that Mother Nature is on our side again this year - we look forward to seeing everyone enjoying themselves for Canada Day! The Riverside South Community Association
