OK I can't take it anymore---has anyone seen COCO--you know COCO Paving guy--the one that digs up all the roads then goes somewhere else before he finishes anything-- COCO could you please just finish limebank road before you dig up some moe stuff !! Now we have a unfinished Limebank , closed and unfinished Earl Armstrong ,  and a dug up River road/Earl Armstrong intersection. Could we finish just one ! Riverside south looks like a war zone with no end in sight. Just who is this masked man COCO??  Show your face and speak only of finished roads masked one---or we will have to send the RS vigilante group after you---and they all have a early curfew so you know they're mean !  Seriously , just finish our roads--its gone on way way too long--and now we have that bridge to look forward to. Just my thoughts

Your right, if they'd just concentrate a team of heavy machinery to the areas that are unfinished on Limebank and it'd be done in a week or two.  I don't know how this is justified to the city.

What I find ridiculous is the huge backhoe they have to spread out the dirt along the median.  It takes that big backhoe weeks to do what a little bobcat could do just flying along that median.  Funny thing is that they have a little bobcat that they aren't even using.  That and what damage is that big backhoe doing to the newly paved surface?

We need some leadership on this.  Where's our leadership?  Perhaps with an election coming up, we'll find some.

No kidding! What's going on lately? Maybe they're working on the section between Limebank between Spratt and Earl Armstrong? We should all get together and finish these roads, maybe it wouldn't be such a waste of $$ and time. They may as well start the bridge now, just keep adding more things they cannot finish. OK... I'm done venting now  Tongue

I wouldn't be surprised that, with the huge amount of work going on because of all the extra infrastructure funding, that they're waiting for some equipment or subcontractor that's booked up somewhere else. There's only so many paving machines available in the city/province/country. It looks like they got ahead of schedule in some areas (based on the updates on timeline that they had given) and I'd bet that some of the sub's weren't available to start early.

OK now--all kidding aside its time to finish some of our roads now. I mean the whole neighborhood is all torn up and nothing is being finished. They (our good buddy COCO--the masked contractor) starts a part of limebank or earl Armstrong the you don't see any action there for 2 weeks---the neighborhood looks like a war zone and you can't go anywhere easily because its all torn up !  FINISH SOMETHING PLEASE---and not the landscaping or grass medians---FINISH the road before anything else !  I'm gonna snap here !!! lol  But seriously fall and winter are coming and this needs to get finished--give us our peace  because this has gone on long enough and taken too long----and in the meantime PLEASE don't start anything else you won't finish . Obviously the masked one does not live in RS because all would be done if he did.

From the looks of it, it seems that River road might soon be paved. Looks like another one for Coco Paving.  Huh

I'm gonna snap !!  Now they're gonna pave River Road---are you kidding??? Can we leave one road to get to and from RS please??? If COCO Paving is doing it they will leave it half done for 3 months. PLEASE PLEASE finish something before you start anything else--soon the only way in and out of RS will be be helicopter--or maybe we can land float planes on the pond---but I'm sure the city will have a say in that too !  Downtown Afghanistan has less torn up roads than RS !  OK I'm done now---only problem is I can't get home 'cause there are no roads open.

Yeah - it's weird! It always seems with the road construction around here that the closer they get to finishing, the slower the work progresses!

I'm sure they'll all get done just in time for the elections, to show all the work the city is successful in doing.

Well I think I'm go'in over the edge---they are paving Riverside drive now--with lane closures.  The Horror of it ---the tears of frustration are flowing--the only way to get home now is a hot air balloon. No worries about speeding---you can barely move in and out of RS 'xause all the frickin roads are closed---PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop ripping up stuff and finish just ONE thing ! One good road is all we ask. Hey just think---maybe all the roads will be finished in time for all the Barhaven traffic flooding thru RS with our new wonderful bridge.AAAAHHH the wonders of progress and city run projects. OK I'm done for today.

Sadly, I find myself "Googling" this topic on my lunch break often these days.  Here's today's find:

Does anybody remember when the Limebank rd construction started?
And what is with the terrible paving jobs on Hunt Club (between the bridge and Merivale) and on Riverside Drive (north of Hunt Club)..

I don't get it. The city and the contractor give a schedule of what it will take to get the work done, given the amount of work that needs to be done and the other projects they have going on around the city. Every indication is that they're still on schedule and that things will be re-opened as originally planned. Yet people feel they have a need to, based on the little bit of information that they have, micromanage something that they have no involvement in and no insight into the daily task scheduling and sequencing.

I know it's inconvenient to have things torn up but we knew a year ago that would be the case. If it starts going past the scheduled completion date, then we can start complaining. Until then, QYB.
