Riverside South Playdates

We are a friendly group of Ottawa moms (all 240 of us) throughout the city that get-together for our children to socialize at in-home playdates, park outings, and nights out with the girls!  We are 100% free, and run by volunteer mums like myself.  Making friends in a new community like Riverside South can be hard, drop in, drop me a line & say hi.  We would love to meet you for a playdate!  We have an online  message board, calendar of events (in-person), ability to send messages, post photos - and chat about the things that are most important to us -  our kids.  For safety reasons, we are a private group, meaning that you have to create a profile & be approved to join & have access to the site http://www.meetup.com/parents-n-children-meetup/ .

I was interested in joining this group.  However, when I attempted to sign up for an account, I was denied because I failed to upload a personal picture within 24 hours of creating the account.  Also, I was told that if I wanted to join up again (after having been denied), that I would need to prove why I was worthy of coming back.  For someone with two young children, this seemed a bit much.

As well, it demanded that you must attend meetings, that it was not so "easy going" as just occasionally meeting up.

If the criteria aren't as strict, I'd love to meet up with other Mom's in the area.
